The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The website services stage established for intervention encounters a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to enable the servicing of all clients and raise access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
